What is a supplementary authorization?
的 CTC's 2019 Supplementary Authorization Guidebook 说:
"Supplementary authorizations allow the holder to add one or more subjects to his or her teaching credential. 的re are two types of supplementary authorizations; introductory and specific. 的 introductory supplementary added to Single subject teaching credential authorizes the holder to teach at any grade level the supplementary subject matter content typically included in curriculum guidelines and textbooks for study in grades 9 and below. 的 introductory supplementary added to a Multiple subject teaching credential authorizes the holder to teach departmentalized classes related to the supplementary in grades 9 and below. 的 specific supplementary added to the Single subject teaching credential authorizes the holder to teach the specific subject in grades preschool, kindergarten-12, and classes organized primarily for adults."
的 courses needed to apply for the Introductory Supplementary Authorization in Computer Science are included in the MA in 教育技术, Track 1 or can be taken by themselves.
注意: 的 EDIT courses listed meet the CTC requirements, 然而, the CTC is the final authority in approving the Computer Science supplementary authorization.
